Shorter College used two quick goals from Sebastian Stihler in the first half and a Mark Beattie strike in the waning seconds of the second half on an assist from Stihler to secure a 3-0 victory over Reinhardt College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Hawks (6-4) won their second match in a row with a shut out of the Eagles (4-4), out shooting the hosts 23-7 in the process.
Shorter fired 16 shots on frame for the contest while surrendering just one to Reinhardt. Sophomore Johnny Paletar played all 90 minutes in goal for the Hawks recording one save.
The Hawks utilized the corner kick — they won ten for the match — to perfection to net all three goals.
The Hawks play again on Saturday when they take on Belhaven at Darlington School at 3:30 p.m.
