A Silver Creek man was arrested Thursday and charged with rape after an alleged assault last month.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Leon William Pryor, 39, of 52A Woodberry Drive in Silver Creek, was arrested by Floyd County deputies around 6 p.m. He was charged with felony rape, felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor battery.

Warrants stated that on Nov. 15, sometime in the early morning hours, Pryor allegedly confined and detained a female victim against her will in a 1996 Toyota Camry. Police say he forcibly had sexual relations with the woman and also caused visible bodily harm during the assault.

Pryor remains in jail without bail.
