Rock bands Skid Row and Warrant plan to give Rome residents a rock show they won’t forget on Oct. 20.

Bullet Events and Jay Shell Entertainment present the “Rome Rocks” concert at The Forum.

Skid Row formed in 1987 and released their eponymous debut album in ’89 which sold over five million copies in the U.S. The 1992 release of “Slave to the Grind” debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts making them the first heavy metal/hard rock band to do so.

In late 1999, founding members Rachel Bolan, Scotti Hill and Snake Sabo decided to keep rocking, and that’s when Texan Johnny Solinger entered the picture.

Twelve years later, Skid Row continues to tour worldwide with Johnny Solinger on vocals.

Warrant formed in 1984 and first came into the national spotlight with their debut album “Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich,” producing the hit “Heaven” which peaked at #1 in Rolling Stone and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Their sophomore album, “Cherry Pie,” was released in 1990, selling three million copies. In 2008, Robert Mason replaced Jani Lane as lead vocalist.

The “Rome Rocks” concert takes place Oct. 20 at The Forum. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and are available at The Forum box office, 333 on Broad and online at www.forumevents.org.
