TRED trail advocacy group will meet Monday night

Citizens interested in the development of a new support group for trail development in Rome will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Cycle Therapy, 608 Broad St.

The group is being called TRED, Trails for Recreation and Economic Development

The agenda for tonight’s meeting will focus on updates from Barbara Crawford and Mark Webb about the 501c3 nonprofit incorporation.

Former Floyd County commissioner Jerry Jennings will lead a discussion about the organization’s mission statement and goals.

Noah Simon, assistant Floyd County manager, will also be giving a project update on the Redmond Trail project which extends the trail on the north side of the Oostanaula River from the Avenue A pump station out to Tolbert Park.
