Two people were arrested after a traffic stop turned up suspected drugs on Tuesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Dana Marie Wise, 28, of 102 Hooper Ave., and Michelle Leigh Harmon, 40, of 8 Avenue E in Lindale, were arrested by Floyd County police around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Park Avenue and Maple Avenue. Police said a seat belt violation initiated the stop, and after investigating, a glass drug pipe and suspected drug residue were found in the vehicle.

There was also a container with a prescription drug in the car.

Both women were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, while Harmon was charged with a seat belt violation and drugs not kept in an original container. Wise was charged with driving on a suspended license.

Both people remain in jail without bail.
