A East Ninth Street house will have a bit of a leaky roof this week after a tree fell on the house overnight.
According to Jake Summerlin, who was at home at the time, the tree fell on the house at 206 E. 9th St. around 4:30 a.m. after a branch from a tree at the neighboring house fell, knocking the tree off balance and forcing it onto the roof of their house.
Summerlin said there was damage to the edge of the roof this morning, and Shelton's Tree Service was out this morning around 11 a.m. to get it off the roof in the rain.
