ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — The University of Georgia plans to host a regional college fair next week.

The Georgia Probe College Fair, which is coordinated by UGA's office of admissions, is set for Tuesday evening at the Classic Center in downtown Athens. The annual event hosts representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities across the Southeast. It gives students and parents from the surrounding area a chance to get information about specific colleges.

The fair will allow participants to meet one-on-one with college administrators, recruiters and counselors. Admissions counselors will also be on hand to answer questions on topics like admissions criteria; application deadlines; financial aid; SAT, ACT and NCAA requirements; and campus life.

Students and parents from more than 30 public and private high schools in surrounding areas have been invited.
