Cartersville police have arrested a suspect in a homicide that happened around 9:50 a.m.today, according to information from Capt. Mark Camp of the Cartersville Police Department.

Candice Piper, 29, of Cartersville died from multiple stab wounds during an incident at Alexandria Landing Apartments, 370 Old Mill Road.

Another victim who was not stabbed was treated at the scene by EMT's, according to Camp.

The Cartersville Police Department has arrested Deandre Davoughin Hightower, 20, of Cartersville. Hightower has been charged with murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and two counts of false imprisonment.
