I really hope that Armuchee beats Calhoun in the playoff game this Friday but I am sure glad that Pepperell lost the tiebreaker and gets to play adairsville instead of Calhoun.

You are correct about the play calling at Pepprell. It is a little suspect on occasions. For some reason the person calling the plays can't count or look a little bit ahead to help their decisions on the current play to call.

Pepperell's kicker can kick some fairly good distance field goals. He is a good high school kicker and will be really good next year when he is a senior.

Give the props to Armuchee because their line really stuffed Pepperell's on several occasions. However Pepperell never should have lost that game or their last regular season game last year. I don't want to point a finger at the head coach because I don't know what coach at Pepperell actually calls the plays. Whoever does should learn that when you get down to the 10 yard line and it is fourth down in a very close game you have to at least try a field goal that is basically an extra point kick in distance. I mean, come on. I understand they say their kicker is not any good, but at least let the kid try. If he had made just one of those when Armuchee stopped them twice on fourth down in the red zone, then they would have won. Not to mention how it must make the poor kicker feel to know that the coach will not even let him try and incredibly short field goal attempt. Last year the Pepperell coach went for it on fourth down around their own twenty yard line against Calhoun. At the time Pepperell was winning and Calhoun was out of time outs with only a couple of minutes left in the game. My point is Pepperell has only lost two games during the regular season in the last two years and both times you can rest the losses on whoever is calling the plays. The Pepperell players deserve better than that. Armuchee is not a fluke. You cannot win that many games and not be good team
