Warrant: Man fired gun at residence with people inside

A man currently incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail was charged with the commission of another crime, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Timothy Barton is accused of driving by a residence on Loveless Street on Dec. 16, 2011, and firing a weapon into the residence with several people inside.

A number of rounds struck the residence and one round struck a neighboring residence.

Barton was charged with felony aggravated assault.
