Water Council meeting date set

The Coosa-North Georgia Regional Water Planning Council will hold its next meeting from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the Lumpkin County Community Center in Dahlonega.

Floyd County's representatives to the 25-member board are Rome City Manager John Bennett, who serves as chairman, County Commissioner Irwin Bagwell and Jerry Jennings, chair and founder of the Northwest Georgia Regional Water Resources Partnership.

The Water Planning Council is charged with creating the region's portion of the statewide water management plan.
