A Plainville woman was in jail without bail on drug charges Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Karen Melissa Best, 38, of 1207 Moores Ferry Road in Plainville, was arrested by Floyd County police Monday afternoon and charged with possession of dangerous drugs and drug-related objects, driving with an expired license and failing to have brake lights or turn signals.
Police said Best was stopped for having no working brake lights or turn signal and agreed to a search of her purse. A syringe was reportedly found in her purse and a search of her vehicle turned up a spoon with residue, another syringe and round, green pills the officer believed to be Klonopin.
