Woman killed while walking on Ga. 41 Tuesday night

A woman who was walking along Ga.41 on a rainy night in Cartersville was twice struck by cars and killed, Georgia State Patrol spokesman Franka Young said.

Christina Mae Warner, 27, of Cartersville, died at the scene of the incident, which happened Tuesday shortly after midnight.

The driver of the second car to hit the pedestrian stopped and notified authorities, but the first vehicle to hit Warner, in the right lane, did not stop and left the scene, Young said.
