According Rome Police Pfc. Israel Alamia:
A blue Ford Escape driven by Casandra Ely, 27, of Silver Creek, and a white Ford Infinity driven by Karen Clark, 44, of Rockmart, were both heading into Rome on Rockmart Highway.
The Escape changed lanes near Lombardy Way, striking the passenger side door of the Infinity. A passenger in the Infinity, Rhiannon Childers of Rockmart, was transported for treatment. Neither Floyd nor Redmond medical centers had her listed as a patient late Tuesday.
Ely was cited for making an improper lane change.
