Today, every individual needs to look at how to avoid pitfalls during crunch times whether they are on the job or at leisure activities.

What is a “crunch time?”

In the fast pace we have every day, it is all the time. Do not fall in a trap of eating unhealthy foods that will not help any situation.

Here are some eating strategies to keep individuals healthy:

Eat small, frequent meals to keep the energy level steady;

Eat meals rather than constantly snacking;

Sometimes chew sugarless gum;

Avoid sweets and sugary foods;

Combine carbohydrate and protein;

Avoid caffeine;

Drink a cup of water every two hours;

Stock up on healthy snacks, such as nuts, dried fruit, pre-cut veggies, fresh fruit, whole grain cereals and more;

Remember that thirst can be confused with hunger. Drink a glass of water before eating a snack.

Do not bring snacks to your work area. Keep them in separate area to resist temptation; and only eat when you are physically hungry, not because you are stressed or bored.

I am glad I am in “your corner” to keep you eating healthy.
