What is the primary purpose of your business?
Alex’s Froyo is a refreshing stop in Armuchee for frozen yogurt and meeting friends and neighbors.
What is the business background of the owners?
The Trans have been owners of Galaxy Nails, serving the Armuchee community for nine years. Pat Vick is originally from Rome and is a partner in business ventures in the city including Southern Bracing Systems and Eagleview Farm.
Why did you start this particular business?
After visiting numerous frozen yogurt shops in the Southeast and observing the increasing popularity of frozen yogurt, it seemed like a natural fit for our community
What makes your business unique?
Alex’s Froyo is the first frozen yogurt shop in the Armuchee area. We will feature 30 fresh lowfat yogurts (rotating 16 flavors at a time) with two no sugar added flavors and one sorbet for the dietary intolerant. We have 60 dry toppings and 18 cold toppings, such as fruit. We hope to become a partner to the community and be active with schools and churches in the area. Alex’s will be the ideal stop for families after visiting Kangaroo Jakes, a ballgame or to celebrate a special event or birthday.
What do you enjoy most about your chosen profession?
Eating yogurt and meeting our neighbors tops the list. Nothing is better than seeing a child smile while eating Froyo with the toppings.
What has been the biggest challenge to overcome as a small business owner?
Construction is always a challenge because there are never ending problems. While we are eager to open the doors and greet our neighbors, we want to provide a pleasant and entertaining meeting place as well. We are trying to create a welcoming environment for everyone.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Alex’s Froyo is owned and operated by your neighbors. We believe in the future of our community and want to support growth in Rome and Armuchee. Celebrate small town life as you come by for a Froyo and catch up with your friends and family.
