GDOT awards contract for work intersection of U.S. 27 at Turkey Mountain Road

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – Construction work could soon begin on an intersection improvements project on US 27/State Route 140 (Turkey Mountain Road) in Floyd County.

Georgia DOT has just awarded a contract for a project to improve the intersection of US 27 and SR 140 in Floyd County. The project also includes the installation of intersection video detection systems (VDS).

This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of March 2013, at a construction cost of $168,118.
