Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Johnson of Rome and Doug Gresham of Rome, announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Brooke Gresham to Kevin Dewayne Laney of Rome.

Miss Gresham is a 2006 graduate of Model High School. She attended Georgia Northwestern Technical College for cosmetology. She is currently employed at Kindred Hospital of rome.

The bride-elect is the sister of Ashley and Keri Gresham of Rome. She is the granddaughter of Linnie and Ed Robinson of Shannon, Cliff and Carol holbert of Greensboro, Trish Gresham of Rome, Gene Gresham of Rome and Carolyn Johnson of Rome.

Laney is a 2005 graudate of Model High School. He is the brother of Heather Young of Cartersville, Brandon Laney of Rome and Todd Laney of Rome. He is the grandson of Preston Weeks of Rome, Geneva Laney of Rome and the late Betty Weeks and Johnny Laney. He is currently employed at Pirelli Tire.

The couple will be married Sept. 8, 2012 in a private ceremony in Gatlinburg, Tenn. A reception is planned for Oct. 6 at the Civic Center in Rome. Formal invitations will be sent.
