A Cartersville man is charged with the theft of approximately $12,000 worth of furniture stolen from Nelson's Furniture, reports stated.

According to Cartersville police reports:

Tony Lamar Sweat, 50, of 330 Mountain Chase Drive, Cartersville is charged with first degree forgery, financial transaction fraud and theft by deception. He remained in Bartow County Jail on Thursday.

Sweat allegedly purchased the furniture with a stolen credit car on May 10, 2012.

Police recovered approximately $10,000.00 worth of furniture and returned it to Nelson’s Furniture.
