The Rome Lions Club has chosen Roger Lemaster as president for the coming year.

Lemaster was installed at the recent regular meeting by Lions past district governor Scott Warren, of Woodstock.

Lemaster has been a Lion for 29 years and has served the Lions Club in many positions, including president in 1991-1992 and vice president.

He is chairman of the annual Lions day/night golf tournament and co-chairman of the annual spring golf tournament, which are the two major fundraising events the Rome Lions Club sponsors to provide eye glasses for needy local children and adults.

He is a Melvin Jones Fellow Award recipient, an award named after the founder of Lions Clubs International. He is the district manager of the Rome office of Cook’s Pest Control. He and his wife Wanda live in Silver Creek.
