Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Youngblood of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Rochelle Youngblood of Rome to Douglas Earl Mason of Rome, son of Earl Mason of Martinsville, Ind., and Susan Ailes-Napue of Martinsville, Ind.

Miss Youngblood is a 2006 graduate of Pepperell High School. She graduated from Georgia Northwestern Technical College with a degree in nursing. She is employed with Home Instead Senior Care in Rome.

The bride- elect is the sister of Rob Youngblood of Atlanta. She is the granddaughter of M.M. Tolbert, R.P. Youngblood and the late Marshall Tolbert and R.P. Youngblood.

Mason is a 2003 graduate of Indian Creek High School. He attended Ivy Tech Community College in Indiana before joining the United State Navy where he served as Petty Officer 1st Class stationed in San Diego, Calif.

The groom-elect is the brother of Amanda Mason Smith of Martinsville, Ind. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Mason and the late Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Ailes.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 6 at First Baptist Church of Lindale. A reception will follow at the Governor’s House in Kingston.
