Darlington is partnering with Lotus Fencing Academy in Atlanta to have Olympic-caliber instructors teach both epee and foil fencing at Darlington. Interested parties can visit the Lotus Fencing Academy website at www.lotusfencing.com to learn a little more about the type of program Darlington is trying to create, and to have confidence that students will be learning from some of the best coaches in the country. Lotus Fencing Academy and Darlington have partnered the past three years for summer camps, and the school feels it is the right time to take the program to a year-round opportunity for students — as well as the faculty and staff. Participants age 8 and older are invited to join the program as it begins this new and exciting endeavor. This club is open to non-Darlington students and to adults.

Fees: $1,600 per semester or $3,000 per school year.

Program: Monday through Thursday, 4-6 p.m. (one hour practice with each weapon)

Schedule:

Monday — Fencing

Tuesday — Conditioning, Footwork, Technique, Rules

Wednesday — Conditioning, Footwork, Technique, Rules

Thursday — Fencing

Friday — Free

This program includes all equipment and coaching fees. Students are not required to purchase any extra gear. Extra lessons can be scheduled if desired.
