In his first game as the Dallas Cowboys starting punter, former Coosa standout Chris Jones didn’t have to do much work.

The Cowboys defeated the defending Super Bowl champions 24-17 in Dallas to open the the NFL season.

Jones punted just twice in the game for an average of 54 yards per punt.

His longest punt went 60 yards, and he had one of his two punts land inside the 20-yard line.
