Woman charged with homicide held for Immigration and Customs Enforcement

A Rome woman who was charged Friday night with vehicular homicide, driving without a license and failure to yield after causing a fatal wreck on Shorter Avenue was also being held for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Maria Micael Fonseca, 22, of 1 Homestead Circle, was charged after she allegedly pulled out of Paris Drive onto Shorter Avenue at 8:57 p.m. on Friday, causing a wreck that involved three other vehicles and ultimately killed one of the drivers.

Fonesca was being held at the Floyd County Jail on Saturday night for I.C.E.
