The 30-year-old who is originally from Rome was married to his wife, Miranda McGill Bagley, in May of 2011. Now, the Bagleys have been presented with an opportunity of a lifetime.
Bagley, a pilot, received a job offer flying jets for an international company in Hong Kong. However, the job comes with some strings attached. The happy couple must give up their Chattanooga loft in order to move to China, but each has different ideas about what they want for their new home.
Luckily, the Home and Garden Television Channel is stepping in. The Bagleys will be featured this Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. on House Hunters International, an HGTV series.
According to the episode’s synopsis, Miranda Bagley wants plenty of indoor storage space for their wedding gifts and Ben Bagley wants enough outdoor space.
Tuesday night, eager eyes will tune into the show to see if the House Hunters can help the couple snag their dream home in Hong Kong.
Ben Bagley was raised in Rome, and his mother, Fran, said he had wanted to be a pilot since he was a child. As a 12-year-old, Bagley discovered his passion for flying when he steered a plane for the first time.
“He flew solo when he was 16,” Fran Bagley said fondly. “And that was before he could drive a car. He’s so happy to be working as a pilot stationed in Hong Kong.”
She said her son graduated from Darlington School in 2000 and his wife graduated from Armuchee High School in 2001. Ben went on to Auburn University where he earned a degree in flight management in 2005, and Miranda went to the University of Georgia and graduated in 2005.
Ironically, though the two never knew each other then, his future wife was a student for three years at Darlington. They didn’t officially meet until October 2010. Now happily married, Fran Bagley said her son and his wife are thrilled to be featured on House Hunters International.
“The show finished filming six months ago in Chattanooga,” she said. “They finished a month ago in Hong Kong.”
