Diego Gonzalez had the only first half shot in the 39th minute that required a save by the Tusculum keeper to prevent the goal.
The second half was more aggressive, with the Hawks able to put together seven additional shots and the lone goal of the game, in a loss to Tusculum 4-1.
Irvin Espinal continued his hot start to the season for the Hawks when he was able to connect for his second goal of the season on a blast to the far post in the 61st minute.
His goal was assisted by Ryan Mcgouirk, which is the first assist for him on the season.
Tusculum took a 3-0 lead to halftime, as they were able to be the aggressors to start the game. Starting goalie, Ryan Edwards, played the first half and gave up the three goals while making two saves on the nine shots he faced.
Coach Paulo Neto made a change to start the second half and inserted freshman Austen Trevers, who faced five shots and allowed the final goal of the day.
Espinal had two shots on goal, and along with Robert Ochieng (1) and Gonzalez (1) provided the only shots that pressured the Pioneers keeper for the entire match.
Andy Goellner had to endure eight shots for the day for Tusculum while making three saves and allowing the one goal.
After the game it was announced that two members of the Hawks were named to the All-Tournament team; Ochieng and Augusto Barreto.
