Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s (GNTC) Adult Education program and the GED® Testing Center will host the 33rd annual GED® Graduation ceremony for the Floyd County Campus Class of 2012 at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, at the Forum in Rome, Georgia. Floyd County adults who have earned the General Educational Development® Diploma during the 2011-2012 school years have been invited to attend with their families and guests.

GED® Graduates will participate in a traditional cap and gown ceremony. GNTC Provost Jeff King will address the graduates and present commemorative certificates. Awards for honors and achievements will be presented during the ceremony.

The Northwest Georgia Housing Authority is a co-sponsor of the event, which is being held during National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week. This special emphasis has been proclaimed by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, as well as the United States Congress. There will be a children's book fair as a special part of the evening to bring special attention to family literacy as it relates to future academic success.
