Adairsville police were involved in a vehicle pursuit of a man on a stolen motorcycle that ended with his arrest.

According to Adairsville Police Chief Robert Jones:

Douglas Ricky Williams was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, attempting to elude police, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects, possession of stolen property, possession of weapons during the commission of a crime and various traffic offenses.

Williams was detected speeding on Ga. 140 in Adairsville on Monday and was pursued by an Adairsville K-9 officer until the chase ended when Williams crashed off Ga. 41 just over the Gordon County line.

Williams fled on foot but was quickly apprehended with the assistance of the officer’s K-9 partner.

Police discovered a quantity of methamphetamine and weapons and recovered stolen property.
