Warrant: Man had stolen copper wire

A Rome man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly had stolen copper wire in his possession, according to Floyd County Jail reports:

According to the report:

Billy Wayne Parton Jr., 27, of 415 Fred Kelly Road, was charged with misdemeanor theft by receiving stolen property.

A warrant stated that Parton was accused of being in possession of two rolls of copper wire that were stolen from the Lowe’s distribution center construction site off of Ga. 53.

He was released on bond Tuesday.
