A Cedartown man remained in Floyd County Jail Saturday on felony and misdemeanor drug and gun charges after reports say he was found with marijuana and a handgun.

According to reports from the jail:

Joshua Tillman Lee, 28, of 61 Lee Road in Cedartown, was jailed by Rome police after he was stopped at the corner of Shorter Avenue and South Hanks Street around 11:45 p.m. Friday.

Reports stated police stopped Tillman, and he “tried to back away and reach for his waist where the firearm was concealed.”

After he was taken into custody and searched, police found less than an ounce of marijuana on his person.

Lee is charged with felony charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He is also charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and obstruction of law enforcement officers.
