The Shorter women’s soccer team suffered an overtime loss to Christian Brothers, 3-2, on Sunday and fell to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the Gulf South Conference.

The Lady Hawks were up by a 2-1 margin when Brandi Greenwald scored her second goal in the 56th minute.

CBU tied the game with a header in the 79th minute by Kristen Guidry.

In extra time, a corner kick by CBU was saved by Katie Stachula, but her momentum carried her beyond the goal line to yield the third goal of the game for the Lady Bucs.

Stachula finished with five saves while facing eight shots on goal.

The two goals by Greenwald moved her into second place on Shorter’s all-time career-goal list with 17. She trails only Pauline Van Der Henst, who scored 32.

The Lady Hawks travel to Alabama-Huntsville on Thursday.
