Ringgold police arrested two people and seized more than $100,000 in cash early Sunday, following a traffic stop along Interstate 75.

According to Police Chief Dan Bilbrey, the stop occurred about 2 a.m. Cash, drug paraphernalia, and multiple electronic devices were confiscated. Jesse Robinson, 22, and Terrence Hunt, 29, both of San Francisco, were booked around 5 a.m.

Robinson is charged with possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, and speeding, while Hunt is charged with conspiracy to purchase or possess a controlled substance.

Both offenders were in custody at the Catoosa County Jail Sunday with no bond set.

The duo was traveling in a 2012 Kia Sorento SUV that was registered to Hunt, the passenger.

Bilbrey says officers found drug remnants, multiple cell phones, travel brochures, and a digital scale.

Both men were taken to the Catoosa County jail without incident.
