Hunter Taylor and Chasmine Riley, the captains of Pepperell’s varsity football cheerleading squad, have learned what it takes to fill their role at Pepperell High.

They’ve become leaders within their classrooms, in the community and also for their squad.

Every Friday night they lead the other cheerleaders and the fans in dances and cheers, keeping the crowd in high spirits throughout the game.

Chasmine said there are many components to being a successful cheerleader.

“First of all, it takes school spirit,” she said. “It takes a lot of participation, hard work and dedication.”
