Rome man charged with battery

A Rome man was in jail Monday morning after police charged him with battery under the Family Violence Act, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Davonte Rashun Mostiller, 18, of 403 A Kingston Ave., was charged after he allegedly picked up a woman and slammed her down on the sidewalk, requiring her to seek medical treatment at Floyd Medical Center from the incident that occurred on Thursday.

Mostiller remained in jail Monday night on $2,600 bond.
