Man charged with forgery, fraud

A Silver Creek man was arrested Monday on charges of felony first degree forgery and misdemeanor deposit account fraud, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

John Randolph Weatherby, 33, of 513 Wax Road, is accused of altering insurance binder documents and uttering them to city officials to which he was employed on Sept. 12.

He is also accused of submitting a check to Professional Accounting in the amount of $365, which came back as insufficient funds when the businesses attempted to retrieve payment.

Weatherby remained in jail Monday night on an unspecified bond.
