District Attorney Leigh Patterson said her office was ready to proceed with a bond hearing against local businessman Lance Walker when he withdrew his motion on Wednesday afternoon.

Walker, 47, of 200 E. Fourth Ave., was arrested Sept. 5 on charges of felony aggravated child molestation, felony child molestation and felony sodomy stemming from an incident that occurred between January 2010 and January 2011.

He also waived his probable cause hearing.

Walker is accused of performing oral sex and other acts on a girl younger than 16.

He is the owner of Walker Orthotics and Prosthetics and has been held in the Floyd County Jail since his arrest.

Walker can ask for a bond hearing again, Patterson said.

Phone calls to Walker’s attorney, Jimmy Berry, were not returned Wednesday.
