A woman is accused of selling a vehicle for scrap metal while she had a title pawn on it, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Vanessa Marie Boatner, 27, of 373 Fred Kelly Road, was charged with felony false statements and writings and misdemeanor theft by conversion when she was arrested Thursday.

According to warrants, Boatner is accused of obtaining funds through a title pawn on a 1993 Dodge Caravan in June 2011. She then allegedly falsified forms to conceal that she had a title for the vehicle and had pawned it in order to sell it for scrap metal in November 2011.

Boatner was released on $5,700 bond.
