The driver of a Ford Taurus that lost control and struck a truck on U.S. 27 Tuesday remained at Erlanger hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Samuel Adams of Rome was driving south when he lost control of the car and struck the Chevrolet truck in the rear passenger side, according to Georgia State Patrol Sgt. Shawn Prather.

According to Prather:

Two other people, Summerville residents, are still hospitalized with fractured limbs. A third vehicle was damaged by a spare tire ejected from the Taurus.
