Police: Man held knife to victim’s throat

Police responded to a report at Mellow Mushroom on Broad Street on Thursday evening of a man holding a knife to the throat of another customer.

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Doyle Griggs, 62, of 60 Albert Ave., put a knife against the throat of a 31-year-old man in the patio section of the restaurant a little after 7 p.m.

Griggs was charged with felony aggravated assault and remained in jail without bond Thursday night.
