Report: Woman tried to hit man with her car

A Rome woman was in jail Thursday night after she allegedly tried to injure the father of her child, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Kendra Marquita Fleet­wood, 25, of 415A Wilson Ave., was charged with felony aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act and misdemeanor third-degree cruelty to children.

Fleetwood is accused of using her 1991 Honda Accord in an attempt to run over the father of her 2-year-old Thursday evening as he rode on a bicycle at the intersection of Grover Street and Nixon Avenue in South Rome.

The child was reportedly in the car at the time of the incident.

Fleetwood remained in jail Thursday night without bond.
