Man charged with terroristic threats

A Rome man was charged Friday for allegedly threatening to hurt someone during a verbal altercation, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

Corey Wayne Meers, 24, of 214 Acorn Road, was charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and acts for the Sept. 16 incident.

He remained in jail Friday night without bond.
