Woman arrested on felony drug charges

A Lindale woman was arrested Saturday morning on felony drug charges, though documents available Saturday evening from local law enforcement personnel did not indicate where or how the arrest happened.

According to Floyd County jail reports:

Cheyenne A. Smith, 17, of 27 Circle Drive in Lindale, was taken into custody at about 9 a.m. Saturday and charged with felony possession of methamphetamines and marijuana.

Officers also recovered the drugs and a set of digital scales from the woman’s purse.

Smith was being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond Saturday night.
