Rome businessman indicted on child molestation charges, additional charges added

Rome businessman Lance Walker of 200 E. Fourth Ave. was indicted by a Floyd County Grand jury on five felony counts, including two new counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes.

Walker, owner of Walker’s Orthotics and Prosthetics, was charged with aggravated child molestation, child molestation, sodomy and two new charges of enticing a child for indecent purposes.

According to the indictment, Walker took the girl to his Redmond Road business and his home, where he is accused of molesting her.

Walker was arrested in early Sept. and recently decided not to proceed with a bond hearing last month. He remains in the Floyd County Jail.
