ATLANTA (AP) — Southern small burger chain Krystal will relocate its headquarters to Atlanta from Chattanooga, Tenn.

The company announced Wednesday that its corporate office called Restaurant Support Center will move to North Atlanta in early 2013.

Krystal's headquarters employs about 60 workers. The majority of the employees have the option to apply for new positions in the Atlanta office. Severance packages and job search assistance will be offered to those who don't relocate.

Initially, the company said the headquarters would remain in Chattanooga, despite the announcement in March of Krystal's sale to private investment firm Argonne Capital Group LLC for an undisclosed amount.

Atlanta-based Argonne owns a portfolio of restaurants.

The 80-year-old Krystal Co. owns and franchises a total of 360 restaurants in 11 southern states and has more than 6,000 employees.
