White, manager of Morris Appliance, 2117 Eisenhower Parkway, Macon, said his customers missed out on savings, and his business missed out on sales.
“It went very well,” he said of the 2010 sales tax holiday, the last time Georgia allowed consumers to buy certain energy-efficient appliances without paying sales taxes. “We had an increase in the larger ticket items. ... It’s a good savings for people.”
