James Sullins and Sharon Sullins of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Sullins of Rome to Joseph Cook of Loganville, son of Steve Cook, Chadbourn N.C., and Linda Bennett of Loganville.

Miss Sullins is a 2008 graduate of Pepperell High School. She graduated from Shorter University in May, 2012 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing. She is currently employed with Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.

The bride- elect is the sister of Staci Sullins of Rome. She is the granddaughter of Hazel Sullins and the late Starling Sulling of Lindale, as well as Lyle and Glenda Hedrick of Trussville, Ala. She is the great-grandaughter of Evelyn Cubbedge of Sylvania.

Cook is a 2007 graduate of Loganville High School. He graduated Cum Laude from Berry College in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Physical Education . Currently he is teaching CLC at Walnut Grove High School in Walton County.

The groom-elect is the brother of Leah Cook of Symrna, Jeremy Cook of Conyers and Christina Bennett of Loganville. He is the grandson of Richard and Louise Woods and Fay Funderbuck.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 27 at Frost Chapel in Rome. A reception will follow at Ford Dining Hall. Invitations have been sent.
