A Rome man was in jail without bond Saturday night after he allegedly hit a woman and then turned his anger toward Floyd County Jail medical staff, according to jail reports.

According to the report:

William Frank Ware Jr., 31, of 43 Hasty Road, is accused of striking a woman Saturday on Northridge Court in front of two children, ages 7 and 9, causing disfigurement to the left side of the victim’s face.

He allegedly threatened to kill her in front of witnesses and again while in custody.

Ware then reportedly threatened to kill a jail nurse after he was booked into the Floyd County Jail.

Ware was charged with two counts of felony terroristic threats and acts and felony aggravated battery under the Family Violence Act as well as two misdemeanor counts of third-degree cruelty to children and felony terroristic threats and acts.
