Rockmart High School’s Fighting Yellow Jacket Marching Band is saluting all heroes this football season with their themed musical piece “A Hero’s Journey.”

Craig Godfrey, Rockmart’s band director, said the music includes superhero theme songs that are familiar to everyone.

The 103-member band is working hard both on and off the field to create a performance worthy of a hero, he said.

“It’s a very long process. We start small and finish big,” he said.
