Rome man charged with possession of synthetic marijuana, other drug charges

A Rome man was arrested on multiple felony drug charges late Monday night after police allegedly found drugs in his car, reports stated.

According to Floyd County jail reports:

Matthew David Bryan, 30, 8 Crestridge Drive, Rome, was spotted near the intersection of East 12th Street and Dean Street, leaning over into the passenger seat of his vehicle.

When police stopped the car, Bryan gave consent for a search.

Officers discovered a spoon with a quantity of suspected oxycodone, another spoon with hydrocodone residue in it, numerous syringes and a quantity of a substance believed to synthetic marijuana.

Bryan is charged with possession and use of drug related objects, felony possession of a synthetic marijuana, felony possession of hydrocodone and felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Bryan is being held in jail on bonds totaling $7,900.
