Report: Ala. Woman struck man with piece of concrete

A Centre, Ala. woman was jailed Monday evening on a warrant that was issued following an altercation in South Rome on October 2.

According to Floyd County jail reports:

Brandi Deann Newberry, 22, 425 County Road 83, Centre, Ala. is charged with felony aggravated assault under terms of the Georgia Family Violence Act.

The warrant for Newberry’s arrest states that she hit a man with a large piece of concrete during an incident on Cherokee Street around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 2.

The victim suffered a visible laceration during the altercation.

Newberry remained in jail Tuesday morning on a bond of $11,200
